Peach Clafoutis Recipe
Very simple and very delicious. Any stone fruit or berries are fantastic here. Also doubles as a great little brunch treat. Et voila!
Peach Clafoutis
serves 4
shopping list —
2 tbsp butter
2/3 cup sugar
pinch of salt
3 eggs
1/2 cup flour
1-1/4 cup milk
1 pound peaches, sliced
2 oz slivered almonds optional
equipment —
shallow baking dish or 6” cast iron skillet
bowl and a whisk OR a blender
steps —
Preheat oven to 375º
Butter a shallow baking dish in an even layer, including up the sides.
Arrange peaches in a single layer and sprinkle with the almonds.
In a bowl or blender, mix together 1/2 cup sugar, salt, and eggs.
Add in the flour then add milk.
Pour the batter over peaches.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup sugar over the surface and dot with butter.
Bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Serve with crème chantilly or ice cream.
