Upside-Down Martinis
Julia Child was known to serve Upside-Down Martinis at her dinner parties. While she loved cocktails, Julia wasn’t a fan of overly strong drinks. By flipping the traditional proportions of gin and dry vermouth, this cocktail makes the vermouth the star rather than the modifier. She was able to enjoy the complexity and sophistication of a martini without the heavy hit of alcohol.
